We don't want your data.

• No account required. We don't collect personal information.
• Domain queries are sent to our server for lookup. We don't tie them to your identity.
• Your IP is used only to apply rate limits, not stored long-term.
• Optional analytics measure aggregate usage. Nothing is sold or shared.
• Recent lookups in the website and the extension live on your device, not on ours.

Domain queries

When you look up a domain we send the request to our server to fetch WHOIS, DNS, SSL, or related data. The response is cached briefly (up to 24 hours per domain) so repeat lookups stay fast. We don't maintain a per-user history of queries — we don't know who you are.

IP addresses

Every web request includes the requester's IP. We use it only to enforce rate limits (a fixed number of lookups per minute per IP) so the service stays free for everyone. Counters reset within 60 seconds; we don't profile IPs or correlate them with the domains they queried beyond standard server logs.

Analytics

We use three aggregate-analytics services on the website:

• Vercel Analytics — page views and performance, no personal data
• PostHog — anonymous usage events
• Google Analytics — page views and traffic sources

These services may set first-party cookies. None link to a real identity unless you've already given that service your information separately.

Local storage

Your last few lookups are saved in your browser's localStorage (on the website) or chrome.storage.local (in the extension). This stays on your device. We never see it and it's deleted whenever you clear your browser data.

The extension only transmits domain names you explicitly look up — via the right-click menu, the toolbar popup's search box, or by clicking one of your saved recent lookups. It does not:

• Read pages you visit
• Track URLs, page titles, or browsing history
• Send data to anyone other than whois.mokohost.com
• Use cookies or third-party scripts

The permissions requested are contextMenus, storage, and a single host permission to whois.mokohost.com — nothing else.

The embed widget is an iframe served from whois.mokohost.com. It runs inside its own origin sandbox and cannot read the host page. When a visitor uses the widget's search box, the lookup hits our API the same way a direct visit to our site would.

The widget makes no third-party network calls. The host page receives no scripts from us, no cookies, and no tracking pixels.

Clear your local recent-searches any time in your browser settings (or via the “X” on each chip on the homepage). For the extension, the popup's storage is cleared automatically when you uninstall it. There's nothing else for us to delete on your behalf — we don't maintain user accounts or per-user records.

We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. The service has no age-gated content.

We'll bump the “last updated” date on this page when something material changes. Major changes will be announced at the top of the homepage for at least a week before they take effect.
